Paint the Town is an annual event in which NeighborWorks Sacramento brings together hundreds of volunteers from local neighborhoods and partner organizations to paint and improve the homes of Sacramento residents. This massive community effort helps renovate entire neighborhoods. Homeowners lead the projects and help coordinate volunteers in the renovations and painting.
Teams of volunteers participate in different types of clean-ups, touch-ups, and other improvements at no cost to the homeowner. They focus on one block in order to have the most impact for the neighborhood. It's an amazing opportunity neighbors and volunteers to work together to paint, fix fences, do landscape and more!!
The Oak Park Farmers market features a diverse group of vendors selling locally produced and delicious fruits and vegetables, breads, cheese, eggs, tamales, fresh flowers and more! Conveniently located in beautiful McClatchy Park
Team Build (Mutual Self Help Housing Program) makes homeownership a reality for many who think it’s out of their reach! Homeowners can start building personal wealth through home equity. Most participants in the Team Build program pay less for their mortgage payments than they previously were paying in rent, and are able to get a tax deduction for the interest paid on their mortgages.
